‘Tis the season for Christmas markets, gospel choir concerts and LOTS of snow! Or at least that’s what MY weekend involved! On Saturday I attended Northridge Community Church’s Artisan Market. With carollers, cookies and a variety of vendors, the Artisan Market was such a great event to launch me into the Christmas spirit! It made me even MORE excited about the One of a Kind show that is starting THIS WEEKEND in Toronto! If you haven’t been to the One of a Kind show….you are SERIOUSLY missing out! Even if you’re not looking to spend money….go for the free samples! They never disappoint ;).
On Sunday, David and I went to see Phylicia and the Toronto Mass Choir perform at a church in Richmond Hill. The Toronto Mass Choir is an award winning gospel choir that REALLY knows how to put on a show! Not only was the music EXCELLENT, but they did a fantastic job of involving the audience in a really neat worship experience! If you feel like your Christmas could use a little music, why not check out the Toronto Mass Choir at Tyndale University College on December 17th. David and I will see you there!!
Just when I thought my weekend full of holiday-esque activities couldn’t get any better….I woke up to THIS (**see below**) on Monday morning!
I was SO THRILLED that I got to put on my sweater, coat, boots, scarf etc. before leaving the house! And I loved that I had to wait 10 minutes for my windows to de-frost before leaving for work! And I didn’t even mind that it took me an extra 30 minutes to get to work because of the snow! And I just couldn’t WAIT to get to work and have recess duty outside in that snow!! HA HA. Okay….maybe it wasn’t QUITE like that! (read: the exact opposite ha)
One thing’s for sure! My attitude about the snow took a drastic change for the better when I saw how STOKED the kids were to play in it! I love working with kids! They remind me to notice and love the simple things, the messy things, the cold things!
Hope you're managing to stay warm! xo
