How far along are you?
I am 14.5 weeks pregnant! Hellloooooo second trimester! Woohoo! :)
Did you/do you have any morning sickness?
None! :) I hear horror stories of people who experience all-day sickness throughout their entire pregnancies and honestly I can't believe it! The only thing I experienced in my first trimester was exhaustion! Like I'm talking 8:15pm bedtimes! :/ But I guess I can't complain....
Has your stomach started to 'pop'?
Not really! My stomach bloat game is STRONG, but so far no real baby bump! Side note: I purchased my first maternity pants a few weeks ago, in anticipation of the bump's arrival, and I'm obsessed! They are literally the most comfortable pants EVER and I can't wait to be able to wear them!
Have you experienced any aversions to food?
Yes! Recently I have not been able to eat spinach. I used to eat spinach salads at least once a day (either for lunch or with dinner) and now sometimes just the look/smell of it is enough to make me feel sick. Unfortunately the same has not been true for jubjube's or Cheeto's ;).
Do you have any inclination about whether it's a boy or a girl?
Absolutely none. David is convinced it's a boy and only refers to the baby as 'he' / 'him' but I always pictured myself having a girl first so who knows! We are both going to be OVER THE MOON excited either way.
Are you going to find out the gender of your baby at your 20 week ultrasound?
David and I both LOVE surprises so we've decided to wait until birth to find out whether our baby is a boy or a girl! I think it will be cool to have that to look forward to after the hard work of labour/delivery. :)
Have you decided on names?
Two-ish years ago I started a note on my phone called 'baby names'. Every time I hear a name I like I jot it down in that note! Sometimes I go back to the note and think "WHY DID I ADD THAT NAME?" (ie. when I thought 'Stone' was the coolest name EVER), some names David doesn't like (so they're deleted) but other names have stuck. While we don't have exact names figured out, we definitely have a few options that we love for both genders.
What has surprised you most about pregnancy so far?
I think I've been overwhelmed with how much of a MIRACLE babies are! Yes, I've been tired and emotional these past 4 months, but other than that my life/routines have been pretty normal! Without me doing anything special, my body has been busy growing a HUMAN! Like WOW! It's pretty insane. and amazing. and really just miraculous!
What are you looking forward to MOST about your 2nd trimester?
Hi! I'm Mrs. Julia Dawe,
