Tired of HAMBURGERS? After only 1 week of owning a BBQ, David and I are (ha ha). So, I needed to get creative once I invited friends over for a BBQ dinner on Friday. After some pinterest-ing, I settled on shish-kabobs...with a TWIST!
What you'll need:
After mixing all ingredients for the STEAK marinade in a bowl, add the steak and store in fridge for 2 hrs (or more). After mixing all ingredients for the CHICKEN marinade in a bowl, add the chicken and store in fridge for 2 hours (or more).
Since everyone's veggie preferences are different (I mean I LOVE mushrooms, but not everyone does), I decided to let our guests make their OWN shish kabobs. I created a "buffet" of veggies and let my guests put their own veggies and meat on their skewers. That way, everyone got exactly what they wanted, and it was a fun activity! :)
Once you and your guests are done filling your skewers, throw them on the BBQ for 10-15 minutes!
**Note: You should throw the potatoes in the microwave for 5-10 minutes BEFORE skewering them so that they cook fully on the BBQ!!
