Okay so the official name for this dessert is: Raspberry Walnut Torte but that just doesn't seem to do it justice! With a shortbread base, raspberry, chocolate and pecan middle and angel food cake top, it's a light, sweet and tangy dessert that leaves you wanting more (and more and more)! Honestly if you're going to cheat on your diet with one dessert this summer...THIS IS THE DESSERT!
What you'll need:
4. Remove baked rust from oven and let cool, then top with chocolate chips, nuts and 1/2 bag of frozen raspberries.
5. Beat eggs with 2C of sugar until light and fluffy.
6. Add salt, flour, baking powder and vanilla and continue mixing until the ingredients are combined.
7. Pour mixture over the raspberry, chocolate, pecan layer of the dessert and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
While the dessert is baking, start making the raspberry sauce....
Cut this dessert into squares and top with whip cream and raspberry sauce. Then ENJOY!
