I'm always up for a good GNO! There's nothing like eating and chatting (and chatting and chatting) with girlfriends...EVEN after a LONG/TIRING week! This Friday my 3 girlfriends- Emily E., Emily W., Amanda and I went to Joey's at Sherway Gardens (**Note to self to eat there more often because it's SO GOOD!!**) to celebrate Emily and Amanda's B-Day and enjoyed a full evening of sharing stories, laughing and catching up on "life"! We have a LOT of fun when the four of us get together because we know like ALL of the same people, but each of us also has a different circle of friends, so there's always LOTS to talk about ;)! I'm so THANKFUL for good girlfriends! And for the fact that they like pictures almost as much as me ;)!!
Okay. It's pretty incredible when your best friend and cousin get married and then have the cutest kid ever (Joshua)! But it's even MORE incredible when you see your best friend and cousin totally own/excel in their new roles as parents to that kid! WAY TO GO Jessica and Brendan! This week I had the awesome opportunity to attend Joshua's FIRST "swimming lesson"! At 6 months old, it's not much of a lesson lol....but MAN did those babies look cute testing out the water! Joshua was SUCH a natural ;) and seemed to love splashing around! I can't wait to see hear all about how he does on his big report card (haha- I'm not even joking....the babies get report cards at the end of the classes- haha) and to see him grow and continue to learn new things! Here are a few pics/a video from our night...
I'm a people person, so for ME, the BEST weekends are the one's where I get to spend a lot of quality time with people that I love! This weekend was one of those! On Friday I had a girls night out with my BFF Emily- dinner, chats and Bridget Jones' Baby was EXACTLY what I needed after a busy week!
On Saturday our friends Stefanie, Ethan and Aidan came over for dinner and Dutch Blitz! These are friends that we don't see often enough....but who we ALWAYS have a great time with when we DO get together!! Unfortunately I TOTALLY forgot to take a pic when they were over, but I did take one before and after they left!
On Sunday we got to see a lot of old (and current?! lol....I don't know how to say that without sounding awkward ha) friends at the official grand opening of the new Salvation Army church in Newmarket! Check out their website if you're in the Newmarket/Aurora area and looking for a church home! Their building was STUNNING and it was just so cool to see how excited everyone is about the new building and new opportunities for outreach that the building provides!
Hope you had a WOW weekend too!! :)
