There are few things in life that make me happier than a trip to Costco at dinnertime! ;) It's just SO much fun- unlimited samples, cool new products, and endless deals on all the things you didn’t know you needed until you walked through the (heavily guarded) doors...how can it get any better than that?! (Side note: David and I always laugh at how intense the door “guards” are! You have to have a membership card to check out so we don’t understand why they’re so serious about monitoring who enters the store…but we kinda dig that it makes it seem like a really exclusive club! Ha)
Anywhooo… when David and I go to Costco…it’s an EVENT. It’s not a quick trip to grab the essentials…it’s a “WE ARE TAKING OUR CART THROUGH EVERY. SINGLE. AISLE” kind of shop! And we both get pretty stoked about it.
Here are a few pics from our most recent trip:
**NOTE: YES! THAT IS KOMBUCHA IN OUR CART!!! If you have not heard yet....Kombucha IS at COSTCO...in the BEST flavour- ginger! STOCK UP ASAP!! ;)
I love that David and I can have fun doing even mundane, everyday things- like grocery shopping-together!
**ADVICE FOR SINGLE GIRLS/GUYS: Find someone who loves Costco as much as you do! ;) ....kidding...sort of! Find someone who you enjoy doing 'everyday' things with! If you do, life will never be boring!
It's CRAZY how much stuff two people can accumulate in just 6 months! Neither David nor I consider ourselves to be over-the-top spenders but in the six months we spent living at my parents house we managed to gather quite the collection of new 'stuff'! So much new stuff in fact that when we went to move back home this past weekend we couldn't fit it all into our house! Ahh! Talk about a wake up call!
David and I spent a large portion of the weekend purging our closets, cupboards and 'junk drawers' and organizing formerly chaotic spaces in our home. I felt SO good after organizing my clothes that I thought I might as well tackle my make-up and jewelry as well! When we moved into our house nearly two years ago I never created a space for my make-up so it was usually left out on the counter AND I never got around to organizing my jewelry so my necklaces ended up sitting in random plastic bags in different drawers in my bathroom and for obvious reasons, it was hardly ever worn!
After a couple hours of purging, sorting, detangling etc. we are pretty stoked with how my bathroom ended up!

I mean...come on! He's hard at work and STILL has a huge smile on his face! I love that guy!
And....VOILA...the finished product:
Well it looks SO good now! Let's see how long it will last ;)
Well the temperature in my car hit 30 degrees this week!! If that isn't reason enough to celebrate I don't know what is!
Here are some other top moments from life recently:
1. When Madeline was 30 minutes late (**ahem**) picking me up from a doctors appointment but it was SO sunny that I got to sprawl out in front of the doctors office building and catch some rays!
2. When I got to work and saw a student wearing the greatest shorts ever! FULL ON RUFFLES. BOTH SIDES. CAN IT GET ANY CUTER?!?
3. When Jenna, Phyli and I just happened to find parking spots RIGHT BESIDE each other one morning! Meant to be? Or meant to be? :)
4. When I went to ONE concert and got to see TWO of my fave groups- the Toronto Mass Choir AND the Etobicoke Temple band ;)!! It's always fun catching up with old and long-time friends!
5. When Robert and I spotted a PERFECT rainbow one night driving home from a workout class!
